Northumberland and Whitby OPP participated in the Township of Hamilton Summer Camp Touch-A-Truck event today, alongside local firefighters, providing campers with an opportunity to meet first responders and learn more about emergency services.
Over 50 children attended the event, where they explored police and fire vehicles, asked questions, and enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun, learning, and the sounds of sirens echoing throughout the grounds.
The event marked the first-of-two planned engagements with the campers. Northumberland OPP will welcome the group to the detachment in the coming weeks for a day of activities, a barbecue, and an opportunity to learn more about policing.
