Northumberland OPP are investigating after a person was reportedly seen in the water in the Brighton area on Saturday evening.
OPP and Northumberland EMS responded to the area of Lighthouse Lane and Paxton Drive around 8:15 p.m. after the report of a person, possibly riding a personal watercraft, in the water.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre was engaged to assist with search efforts and deployed both a vessel and an aircraft.
The area was searched until shortly after 10 p.m. but no person or watercraft was located.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
