While the value of construction activity was up in June in Quinte West, year-to-date numbers are still lagging behind.
Last month the Building Department issued 49 permits with a construction value of $8.7 million.
In June 2025 the 56 permits issued were only worth $7.5 million.
Out of last month’s permits, three were issued for about $7 million worth of new residential construction and another is for $400,000 in renovations to St. Mary Catholic School in Trenton.
Through the end of June, Quinte West has granted 247 permits with a construction value of $71.7 million.
There were 274 permits worth just over $98 million through the first half of 2025.
