A Belleville woman has been arrested after a domestic violence incident.
On Jul 1, 2026 at 5:18 p.m., Belleville police officers responded to a home in the city’s east end about a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, officers were told that a man and woman had been involved in a verbal argument earlier that afternoon while driving. The situation escalated with the woman acting erratically while inside the vehicle. She had attempted to grab an item from the male driver’s hand, resulting in a cut to his arm. Once the pair had returned home, the woman struck a TV, shattering it.
After a police investigation, a 26-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with spousal assault and domestic mischief. She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
