A transport truck carrying cars caught fire overnight on the 401.
The incident took place just after midnight, on the westbound lanes of the highway near Akins Road in Quinte West.
The truck and all six vehicles it was carrying were destroyed in the fire, with the highway shut down briefly as first responders worked. Crews remained on scene for two hours.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
