Isaac and Elise Kerr of Belleville made a major statement on the provincial stage this past weekend at the 2026 Ontario Lawn Bowling Association (OLBA) U18 Provincial Championships. The brother and sister duo, who are both members of the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club, secured podium finishes after delivering strong performances at the Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club.
Twelve-year-old Elise Kerr captured the gold medal in the U18 Women’s division, dominating the greens in her very first youth provincial championship appearance. Elise showcased remarkable poise under pressure, winning seven out of eight sets. She then clinched the provincial title by winning a high-stakes tie-breaker match to become the reigning U18 Women’s Champion.
Her sixteen-year-old brother, Isaac Kerr, fought his way to a bronze medal in the U18 Men’s division. Entering the tournament as the two-time defending provincial champion, Isaac brought veteran experience to his fourth youth provincial appearance. He secured his spot on the podium winning six out of eight sets during a challenging round robin.
Both athletes are currently celebrating their fifth season with the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club. Their historic dual-podium finish marks a major milestone for youth sports in the Belleville community.
