In response to forecasted high temperatures, the Quinte West cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens will be open daily beginning today, June 29, until Sunday, July 5.
When: Monday, June 29, to Sunday, July 5, 2026, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens, 8 Couch Cres., Trenton, ON
The City of Quinte West activates a cooling centre at the Trenton arena when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.
Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford.
