Canada’s 159th birthday is coming up next week and as always there will be celebrations throughout the country.
In Belleville, festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 1 at Zwick’s Park. A full day of music, food and special events ends with a fireworks display at dusk.
There’ll be fireworks in Quinte West as well and daytime activities in Centennial Park begin in the morning with a pancake breakfast.
In the county, Wellington will have a street dance and fireworks on Tuesday night June 30. Daytime events will start at noon on Canada Day.
And there will be celebrations in downtown Picton as well running from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.
