A major donation by a local couple.
Wayne and Wendy Sheppard have donated $1 million to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation as part of a new endowment.
The Wayne and Wendy Sheppard Endowment for Exceptional Care will support the purchase of medical equipment for the hospital.
Wayne is the chair of the Board of Directors for the foundation.
He and Wendy will be on the Lorne Brooker Show Friday morning to discuss their donation.
