Quinte Conservation has issued a shoreline conditions statement for Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte due to incoming high winds.
Sustained southwesterly winds of 40 to 60 kilometres an hour are forecast through June 20, creating a potential storm surge and waves up to three metres high.
In a release, the conservation authority says that water levels are already above average for this time of year, raising the possibility of localized shoreline flooding and wave-driven erosion.
The advisory remains in effect until Monday.
