Northumberland OPP have laid impaired driving charges following a motor vehicle collision on Spring Street in the Township of Cramahe.
Officers determined that a passenger vehicle had collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle.
No serious injuries were reported.
After an interaction with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation, which resulted in the motorist being taken into custody.
32-year-old Patrisha Geerts of Roseneath has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.
In addition, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound were issued.
