The City of Quinte West has issued a Request for Information (RFI) as it seeks input from housing developers and non-profit organizations on developing a mixed-income residential community near North Murray Industrial Park.
In March, city council had declared a 13-hectare parcel of vacant land north of downtown Trenton and west of North Murray Industrial Park as surplus.
Council had also amended its official-plan designation of the land to allow for low- and medium-density housing on the property.
The RFI is seeking input on the following:
- Prospective development concepts and creative ideas for the vision of this community
- Potential partnerships between developers and non-profit housing organizations for the development of the lands
- Municipal support that could help advance affordable housing development options for this project.
Those interested in participating can visit quintewest.ca/BidsAndTenders before the submission deadline on July 23, 2026, at 2 p.m.
