Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement calling for heavy rain in parts of the Quinte region for Wednesday.
The weather agency says that rainfall amounts near 50 mm possible with it beginning today and continuing into the evening.
“A moisture laden and slow moving low pressure system will bring locally heavy rain showers and the risk for isolated thunderstorms,” the statement says.
“The high moisture associated with this low will lead to the potential for locally heavy rainfall.”
