The City of Belleville has launched a new online tool, allowing developers to quickly look up the zoning of any property in the municipality.
The new DevReady tool shows an interactive map of the municipality, with zoning information, permitted land uses, development charge estimates, building permit fee estimates and other information ready for developers.
The tool is designed to streamline the early stages of the development process by providing clear, reliable information before formal applications are submitted.
“DevReady is another example of how the city is working to make development information more accessible and transparent,” said Thomas Deming, Manager of Planning for the City of Belleville. “By putting important planning and development information at users’ fingertips, we are helping investors, developers and property owners better understand opportunities, requirements and costs early in the process. This supports informed decision-making and helps create a more efficient development experience in Belleville.”
DevReady is the first component of the city’s Investors Toolkit to be launched, with additional tools and resources expected to be introduced in the coming months.
The city is making the application available now so developers, investors and property owners can begin benefitting from the tool immediately.
