South East Public Health is combining together any reserve funds left over from any pre-merge health units into a single reserve fund.
During Wednesday’s meeting of the board of health, the board discussed a financial update for the health unit.
During those discussions, the board considered what should be done with any leftover reserve funds from the health units that merged into South East Public Health.
It was decided that the funds should be pooled together and made available as needed for projects anywhere in the health unit’s jurisdiction, regardless of where the funds came from.
The motion passed with brief debate.
