If approved by Hastings County Council, four local childcare organizations will be receiving some much-needed funding.
The county’s Community and Human Services Committee Wednesday recommended the money come from an almost
$41.6-million transfer payment to the county from the province for 2026.
From that sum it’s recommended $852,502 go to Family Space Quinte Inc., $338,295 to North Hastings Children’s
Services, $162,381 to the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (including Francophone services), and $292,162 to
the Algonquin Inodewiziwin Child and Family Centre, Indigenous-led initiative, Anishinaabe Baptiste Community Organization.
