Belleville police responded to 189 calls for service from 5 a.m. on January 9, 2026 to 5 a.m on January 12, 2026.
Impaired Driver
On January 11, 2026 at 4:11 p.m., Belleville police observed a vehicle parked unusually in the city’s east end. Officers approached the vehicle and found a female slumped over the steering wheel.
As a result of investigation, Rhonda Giorano, a 34-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:

Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

Failure to comply with a release order
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
Intimate Partner Violence
On January 10, 2026 at 1:10 p.m., Belleville police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was reported that a verbal argument escalated when a male grabbed a female by the arm and pushed her into a wall. It was also reported that on December 31, 2025, the same male had slapped the female in the face.
As a result of investigation, a 42-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
Impaired Driver
On January January 10, 2026 at 1:52 a.m., Belleville police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the city’s north end and conducted a traffic stop. Officers observed signs of impairment while speaking with the driver.
As a result of investigation, Devin Kearley, a 25-year-old Kanata man, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
