He spent several years trying to crack the National Hockey League and now he has finally done it.
Long-time Belleville Senator Jonathan Aspirot has inked an extension with the Boston Bruins.
The 26-year-old Quebec native spent four seasons in Belleville, playing 163 games on the back end during that time.
Aspirot played his first NHL games this season with the Bruins organization and has three points in 26 games with the big club.
He is tied for Boston’s lead-in plus/minus at +15 and is in the NHL’s top 30 in the category.
