The Toronto Marlies smashed the Belleville Senators 6-1 on Friday night.
Xavier Bourgault scored for the Senators.
The Marlies opened scoring with an unanswered first-period goal. In the second, the Marlies scored four back-to-back goals before the Sens scored their one and only for the night late in the period. In the third, the Marlies scored one last goal and took the game.
The Senators are back in action on Saturday hosting the Marlies for a rematch at CAA Arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
