Belleville Fire and Emergency Services has released more details regarding Wednesday’s fire on Henry Street.
In a release, Belleville Fire says that the blaze started in the kitchen area inside an apartment of a multi-unit building.
Occupants of the apartment were not home at the time of the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
Fire investigators determined that the fire was caused by combustibles left on top of the stove and the range being left on.
Damage is estimated at $26,000.
