Charges were laid over the weekend in relation to a crash this past summer in Northumberland County.
In the early morning hours of July 1, 2025, OPP were conducting speed enforcement when they spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
Moments later the car was involved in a single-vehicle collision.
On Saturday, OPP charged 25-year-old Brent Hickey with dangerous operation, impaired, and over 80 milligrams.
He appears in Cobourg court next week.
