Belleville Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft is looking to 2026 with optimism despite the uncertainty involving trade, tariffs and other issues still looming.
She is encouraged by the resiliency that many of the chamber’s members have shown and some economists’ predictions that we are positioned for growth in 2026.
Some of that advocacy would include lobbying higher levels of government for funding for various sectors.
Raycroft says they also plan to grow their Empowering Belleville initiative launched in late 2025.
The movement is designed to bring local entrepreneurs together with peers and professionals who can share their lived experience with common challenges.
Empowering Belleville is delivered with the assistance of Trenval and United Nations Association – Quinte Branch.
