Environment Canada has issued multiple severe weather alerts covering the area.
Yellow warnings are in place for freezing rain, rain, and high winds.
Freezing rain is expected on Sunday afternoon, and could continue through Monday morning. Residents are warned that utility outages are possible, and that slick conditions can make travelling difficult.
The rainfall warning was put in place due to expected high volumes of rain, with 20 to 40mm of rain expected. With the ground frozen, residents are warned that it may not absorb the water, and that localized flooding is possible.
The wind warning is in effect for high winds expected on Monday. Gusts of up to 100km/h are expected.
Residents are warned to secure loose objects, and to be aware of debris blowing in the wind.
