Future sports facilities will be front and centre at a meeting of Quinte West council on Wednesday afternoon.
Staff is bringing two recommendations to council, one involving a search for land that could be made available for a new football field, and the other is that council approve investing in finding out if a sports dome would be feasible for the community.
The football field issue came to city staff following a request for field time from the Quinte Skyhawks.
And there’s been interest in a sports dome for Quinte West from various people and organizations, including the operator of the dome at Loyalist College.
Cost of a sports dome is estimated at between four and six million dollars.
