Residents of Prince Edward County are making more use of their local libraries.
During Thursday’s committee of the whole meeting, Barbara Sweet, CEO of the Prince Edward County Public Library, gave an annual report to council regarding the library’s work in 2024.
During 2024, the library saw a 12% increase in library book circulation compared to 2023.
Along with the increase in readership, library programs are seeing an increase in usage. Program attendance was up 54% in 2024 compared to 2023.
