Hospice Quinte’s annual Hike for Hospice is being held on a new date but for the same great cause.
The event will be held Sunday, May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Centennial Park in Trenton.
It has moved from its traditional September date to be part of National Hike for Hospice Month, joing a nationwide movement.
The walk not only raises funds for hospice care but also honours the vital role of hospice care in our lives and communities.
“Hike for Hospice is a chance for our community to come together—to walk in memory, to walk in hope, and to walk in support of care that truly matters,” says Hospice Quinte Executive Director Petra Lepage. “Every step taken helps ensure that no one in our region has to face their final journey alone.”
The 2.5 km route is accessible and welcoming to all ages and abilities, including children and leashed pets.
Along the path, there will be face painting, lawn games, and snacks along with a remembrance arch where you can place a paper dove in tribute to someone dear.
Registration is $25 per person, and participants are encouraged to raise funds to support Hospice Quinte’s mission to provide compassionate, no-cost care to individuals and families when they need it most
