UPDATE: Elexicon reported the outage affecting its customers was restored around 12:20 p.m.
There is a major power outage in the Quinte region.
Elexicon Energy indicates that a large portion of Belleville is without electricity due to failed equipment.
This came following a major downpour across the area that brought well over an inch of rain in under an hour.
The outage is from College Street to the Bay of Quinte, and Mary Street near Coleman to the river.
Cannifton Street is closed from College to Station Street as well.
Elexicon indicates power should be restored before 12 p.m.
There are also reports of outages across other parts of the region including Gosport, Marysville, Point Anne, and areas around Thurlow and Cannifton.
