A Prince Edward County resident has been charged after a report of a sexual assault.
Prince Edward County OPP say the incident was reported to them on Tuesday.
An investigation was conducted by police and an arrest was made later that day.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jake Stevens of Prince Edward County was charged with the following:
- Sexual assault
- Theft under $5000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton.
OPP are not releasing further details to protect the identity of the victim.
