The City of Belleville has ratified a new four-year collective agreement with its inside and outside workers.
The agreement, which covers the period of January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027, will see members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 907 receive wage increases of 5.0 per cent in 2024, 3.5 per cent in 2025, and 3.0 per cent in 2026 and 2027.
Items agreed upon include the realignment of work groups for a more cohesive collective agreement, as well as enhanced benefits and improvements to LTD that will bolster recruitment and retention initiatives.
CUPE Local 907 ratified the agreement with their members on May 14.
