There was a major police presence in Bancroft on Saturday night as officers investigated reports of a shooting.
Officers from Bancroft OPP descended on the area of Hastings Street North at close to 6:30 in the evening, and remained on site until just after 11 at night.
The incident was believed to be isolated, with no larger threat to public safety.
While the increased police presence has lifted, the investigation continues. Anyone with information that could help is asked to contact Bancroft OPP.
