Belleville police say the Field of Ability has once again been vandalized.
City of Belleville municipal parks staff had reached out to police Monday morning after graffiti was discovered again on buildings at the park located alongside Sidney Street.
Staff provided police CCTV footage and a still image of the suspect. Distinctive markings were painted on the roll-up doors and walls of an outbuilding at the site.
The markings are described by police as similar to those from an incident in April.
Timestamps on the CCTV footage indicate that the incident occurred before midnight on Saturday.
It is noted that the clothing in the CCTV footage may appear lighter due to the fact that infrared was utilized leading to the clothing appearing lighter due to various factors such as material composition, fabric thickness, and colour.
Police say the male suspect appears to be wearing dark-coloured clothing, a baseball hat, a backpack with reflective elements and a skateboard.
Anyone with information about the suspect, who is seen wearing a coat and backpack, or the distinctive markings is asked to contact Const. Josh Woodcock at jwoodcock@bellevilleps.ca or Crime Stoppers at 613-969-8477.
The Field of Ability was opened in 2022 providing a rubberized field for those with special needs for games of baseball.
