A lot of residents did a lot of work recently in the annual Quinte Trash Bash.
Volunteers picked up almost five tonnes of garbage in Prince Edward County, just over four tonnes in Quinte West, a little over three tonnes in Belleville, and two tonnes of trash was removed from the countryside in Tyendinaga Township.
In total, a little over 14 tonnes or over 31,000 pounds, of garbage was taken to a landfill or a recycling facility.
