Charges have been laid against a 40-year-old, following the report of a man with a knife in Belleville.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, city police were called to Ashley Lane, between Station and Great Saint James streets.
The man initially refused to drop the knife, however, eventually complied and was arrested.
Police seized a hunting knife and sword.
The suspect was charged with weapons dangerous and two counts of breach of probation.
He was held for a bail hearing today.
