An Ottawa man faces charges after police used a spike belt to stop a stolen vehicle on Highway 401 early Monday.
Lennox and Addington OPP tried to stop the vehicle, which was reported as stolen from York Region, on the 401 eastbound at 7 o’clock in the morning near Marysville but the driver did not stop.
Police then laid down a spike belt further east near Odessa bringing the vehicle to a stop.
Thirty-one year-old Brandon Farrow-Loiselle was arrested without incident and charged with driving while prohibited and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
