The Belleville Senators fell 3-2 to the Marlies Wednesday in a school day game in Toronto before more than 7,000 excited kids at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Egor Sokolov and Zack Ostapchuk scored for the B-Sens.
Zach Solow scored the winner for Toronto just over three minutes into the third period.
The B-Sens sit in third place in the North Division, now just points ahead of fifth place Toronto.
The Marlies have two games in hand.
Belleville still leads the season series between the teams so far, with a 5-3-0-1 record against the Marlies.
The teams will wrap their 10-game season set in Toronto on Wednesday, April 10.
The next game for the Senators is in Utica on Saturday.
