The first Bridge Street Sock Project is being hailed a success.
Earlier this fall, Bridge Street Retirement Residence began a sock drive to help their neighbours at the John Howard Drop-In at Bridge Street United Church.
Organizer and Community Relations Manager at Bridge Street Retirement, Natalie Cummings says more than 800 pairs of socks and 200-plus other items such as winter hats, scarves and mitts were donated.
Cummings says they were able to split the donations between the Drop-In and Grace Inn Shelter.
