Quinte West OPP have charged two people in a firearms investigation.
On December 8, 2023 around 6:30 p.m., police responded to an after-the-fact complaint of an armed person on Annwood Court in Trenton.
OPP’s Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and the Quinte West Crime Unit were dispatched to assist.
A search warrant was executed at a nearby house where two people were arrested.
Forty-year-old Virginia MacDonald of Trenton was charged with the following:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats
- Pointing a firearm
Thirty-five-year-old Lindsey Crane-Nelson of Centre Hastings was charged with the following:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Both of the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 28, 2023.
