A group of concerned citizens are set to present a petition regarding the safety of 2nd Dug Hill Road at the City of Quinte West’s council meeting on Wednesday.
This stems from a fatal hit-and-run incident on that road on November 17.
Fourteen-year-old Seryn Lazzaro passed away after she was struck by a vehicle while walking with her friend to Walmart in the area of the Trenton Christian School.
A GoFundMe page has been set up.
The public portion of Quinte West City Council is set to take place at 4:30 p.m.
