Three people have been charged in the kidnapping investigation we told you about Wednesday.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Meyers Creek Road, which is just north of CFB Trenton, officers responded to the area between Hamilton and Whites Road.
There was a crash, and one person held against their will in the vehicle, fled on foot.
The Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue, Canine Unit and Aviation Services were dispatched and three people were taken into custody.
Thirty-six-year-old Michael Goddard of Quinte West, 31-year-old Adam McNight of Centre Hastings, and 32-year-old Joshua Pero of Stone Mills Township are all charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, unauthorized possession of a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Pero was also charged with assault with a weapon and obstructing a peace officer.
The Quinte West Criminal Investigations Unit continues to look into the incident.
