A 25-year-old Quebec woman has been charged with impaired driving after a vehicle was found in the ditch off Highway 401.
Around 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Lennox and Addington OPP received a call about a vehicle with its lights on in the ditch on the westbound 401 just east of Switzerville Road.
Police located the vehicle, driver and a passenger and found alcohol in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was showing signs of impairment and was ultimately arrested on a charge of operation while impaired.
Isabelle Cardinal-Racine of Longueuil, Quebec is scheduled to appear in court in Napanee on a later date.
The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days
