A 13-year-old is facing charges including theft of a motor vehicle and flight from police after an incident in Trent Hills.
Northumberland OPP say a woman called police Monday evening as she was concerned for the well-being of her 13-year-old grandchild who had left the home upset.
Officers patrolling the area observed an individual matching the youth’s description driving a vehicle.
After seeing police, the driver fled at a high rate of speed.
The youth and vehicle were later located.
The 13-year-old who cannot be named because of their age, is also charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
