Trinity-Saint Andrew’s United Church in Brighton says the rainbow steps in front of the church were vandalized overnight Tuesday.
“Vandals used the cover of darkness overnight on the evening of Tuesday, October 24, 2023 to paint over and deface three separate sets of rainbow stairs leading to the church,” the church shared in a statement.
The church is asking residents to come together at the building on Friday at 4 p.m. to help restore the steps.
Residents are asked to bring a paint brush. Coffee and rainbow cupcakes are being supplied by the church.
