Ontario Minister Vic Fedeli says a new manufacturing plant east of Napanee is going to be a game changer for not just our region or province, but Canada and the world.
The Minister for Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade was on the Lorne Brooker Show to talk about the Umicore Rechargeable Battery plant in Loyalist Township.
Brooker asked about having governments invest millions into the private sector.
“There are other jurisdictions worldwide who are flashing big money. We don’t pay the same big money as others are paying, but we got to put some skin in the game.”
The plant is expected to employ hundreds of people, while also creating thousands of construction jobs during its creation.
