Several hockey games involving local teams were played on Friday night, and even more are set to go today.
In local Junior C action, the Port Hope Panthers slipped past the Napanee Raiders 2-1. The Raiders’ next game will be against the Amherstview Jets on the 20th.
In the Eastern Ontario Super League, the Centre Hastings Ice Miners slipped past the Frontenac Phantoms 5-4. The Ice Miners face the Phantoms again on the 21st.
More games are on the docket for tonight, starting with the Belleville Senators travelling to face the Hershey Bears for their first regular season game of the AHL season. Game time is 7 p.m.
In Junior A hockey, the Trenton Golden Hawks are up against the Haliburton Huskies this afternoon. The game starts at 4 p.m.
In Junior C hockey, the Frankford Huskies take on the Amherstview Jets. The game starts at 6:50 at the Frankford Arena. Meanwhile, the Campbellford Rebels are facing the Port Hope Panthers. Their game starts at 7:30.
And in the Eastern Ontario Super League, the Deseronto Bulldogs are hosting the Gananoque Islanders. The puck drops at 7:30.
