An elderly woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Friday.
Belleville police say officers were dispatched to an area along Sidney Street, just south of Bridge Street West at 8:15 a.m. after a woman crossing the road was struck.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene until police arrived.
An 85-year-old Belleville woman was initially taken to Belleville hospital before being transferred to Kingston hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
