It was a beautiful day Monday but not a record setting one in the Quinte region.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, the mercury climbed to a high of 24.5 degrees, less than a degree short of the record for an October 2 which was 25.4 degrees set in 2013.
Meanwhile a high temperature record might be set Tuesday with forecasts calling for a high of around 28 degrees. The current record for an October 3 is 25.6 degrees, set over 70 years ago in 1951.
