Public Intoxication
On October 2, 2023 at 2:42 p.m., Belleville police responded to a disturbance on North Front St. regarding a 41-year-old female of no fixed address who was throwing bottles at people. There were no reported injuries. Officers arrived on scene and located the female who was observed to be very intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she remained until sober and then released with a Provincial Offence Notice.
Possession of Stolen Licence Plates
On October 2, 2023 at 1:30 p.m., an officer was on general patrol in the area of Bell Blvd and Sidney St. when their patrol vehicle, equipped with an Automated Licence Plate Reader, alerted to a stolen licence plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Johnathan Hill, 36 years old of Deseronto. He was charged with possession of stolen property. Hill was released on an appearance notice with a court date in October 2023.
