A high temperature record for October 3 was set in the Quinte region Tuesday with Environment Canada reporting it was 26.6 degrees as of 2 p.m. at CFB Trenton.
The previous record was 25.6 degrees, set in 1951.
Monday’s high fell short of a record for October 2 but another record could be broken on Wednesday.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 28 degrees with the record for October 4 being 25 degrees set in 1954.
As temperature records fall across southern Ontario this week, it’s felt even warmer with the humidity.
