Quinte Health introduced three new Board of Directors members at its meeting at the Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday.
Bob Forder, Mike O’Shea and Yves Savoie officially join the 2023/2024 Board of Directors.
Quinte Health provided the following descriptions for each new director.
Bob Forder is a highly accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing. He held various management positions, including IT, Lean Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Production Manager. In 2013, he transitioned to public service as the Manager of Buildings and Facilities for the City of Quinte West. Bob has also made notable contributions to his community, serving on the Quinte Manufacturing Association, the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the Loyalist College Board of Governors. He is a proud father of two and grandfather of four, and lives in Quinte West with his spouse.
Mike O’Shea’s professional career spanned 35 plus years, initially articling with KPMG and the Provincial Auditor’s office. With a career that weaved progressively through senior finance, regulatory and audit management positions in the Energy, Education and Government sectors. He also taught finance, audit and accounting courses at York University and several colleges. Mike is a CA, CPA, and Chartered Accountant with an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a diploma in Landscape Architecture. He has recently retired and is living in Foxboro.
Yves Savoie is an executive coach and strategy advisor to not-for-profits and charities. He is the former CEO of Heart & Stroke Canada and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. He brings deep practical knowledge and experience to complex organizations that deliver social impact. Yves is a tireless policy advocate for people with disabilities, for healthy eating, and for patient-centred approaches to healthcare. He graduated from the University of Toronto, obtained his MBA at Concordia University, and later completed a Master of Management at McGill University. Yves and his partner live in the Township of Tyendinaga on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee peoples.
At its June meeting, the Board thanked outgoing Directors Patrick Johnston, Peggy Payne, Ross Rae
and Janet Dalicandro for their contributions to Quinte Health.
