Lennox and Addington OPP have charged two men with impaired driving.
Close to midnight on August 3, officers patrolling Hwy 401 encountered a driver going 115km in a 100km zone, while weaving in and out of traffic and driving erratically. The officers stopped the driver, and after noting that he seemed impaired, administered a screening device. After the test, the driver was arrested and taken back to a police station.
Eranda Attugalle, age 33, of Scarborough was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Drive motor vehicle – preform stunt – excessive speed
- Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused had their licence suspended and vehicle impounded, and has a court date set for August 22.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a single vehicle accident on County Road 14. Upon arrival, the officers determined the driver was impaired and arrested him.
Sean Osadzuk, age 58, of Toronto was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
The accused had their licence suspended and vehicle impounded, and has a court date set for August 29.
